• Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree/Master in Agricultural, Agronomy, Plant Science or equivalent.
• At least 8 to 10 years of experience in agronomy, crop management, or a similar capacity in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of crop management, soil science, plant nutrition and pest management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in various field conditions and travel to different estate locations as required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the agronomy unit of SOPB, coordinating activities across various estates.
• Provide oil palm agronomy advisory and fertilizer recommendations for SOPB's group of estates, covering an area of 45,000 hectares.
• Provide agronomy support for oil palm nurseries.
• Supervise and guide the operations of junior agronomists.
• Deliver agronomy and nutrient-related training to estate personnel.
• Provide support and training on resolving issues related to pests and diseases in oil palm.
• Manage agronomy staff in collecting field data, and foliar and soil samples.
