KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Site Implementation & Workforce Engagement

· Ensure subcontractor compliance with Environmental Sustainability & Occupational Health (ES&OH) standards.

· Conduct audits, environmental inspections, and Health Risk Assessments (HRAs) across site and auxiliary areas (e.g., camps, workshops, etc).

· Deliver training and awareness programmes to build workforce competence and drive behavioural change.

· Facilitate worker engagement initiatives to align site culture with ES&OH objectives.

· Prepare and submit compliance reports and internal environmental audits in line with project requirements.

· Develop and maintain ES&OH documentation (e.g., forms, templates, checklists) in accordance with approved plans and procedures.

Sustainability Management

· Implement project-specific Sustainability Management Plan (SMP) and CSR Roadmap.

· Engage subcontractors and suppliers to integrate circular economy, carbon neutrality, ethical sourcing, and biodiversity measures.

· Deliver raw material passport reports and Env Cost Indicator (ECI) assessments across project phases.

· Track and report sustainability KPIs including:

o Energy efficiency

o ECI

o Green electricity use

o Recycled material use

· Ensure compliance with relevant client requirements (e.g., ADMs) and regulations (e.g., CSRD, EU Due Diligence, SDGs).

· Identify legal obligations (e.g., Malaysian ministry permit conditions) and ensure timely implementation.

Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

· Monitor, verify, and analyse monthly environmental data (e.g., GHG emissions) for accuracy and alignment with corporate targets.

· Track ES&OH KPIs, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.

· Capture lessons learned to improve site sustainability and occupational health practices.

· Identify and integrate innovative sustainable construction solutions into operations.

Stakeholder & Communication Management

· Maintain active engagement with clients, regulators, and project teams to align on ES&OH priorities.

· Coordinate stakeholder updates and communications (e.g., toolbox talks, CSR reporting).

· Lead ES&OH awareness campaigns and disseminate key messages (e.g., HiPlus alerts, lessons learned).

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

· University Degree (minimum 4 years of Bachelor’s Degree) or NEBOSH Diploma Plus

· 6 years of experience, 4 of which is energy industry construction experience

· High School or equivalent degree

· 8 years of HSE experience, 6 of which is energy industry construction experience
