Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Finance professional to assist the Finance Manager in overseeing the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions. You will prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts, and monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, at least 5 years of relevant experience with 2 years in a supervisory capacity, strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MICPA, or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, SST, and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
• High level of integrity, responsibility, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Manager in overseeing the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax submissions, and liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities.
• Assist in budget planning, financial analysis, and business performance monitoring.
• Review and improve internal controls, financial processes, and procedures.
• Supervise and guide finance and accounts staff in daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and relevant legislation.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
