A leading company located in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Accounts and Finance Executive to manage financial operations and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and at least 3 years of relevant experience. This role requires strong knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations and proficiency in accounting software. The company offers a dynamic work environment where strategic financial planning and compliance management are key responsibilities.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
Maintain full-set accounts independently, including e-invoicing processes in compliance with government requirements.
Ensure adherence to Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and relevant tax regulations.
Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities to support business growth and sustainability.
Oversee all financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
Provide financial insights and data-driven recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business expansion plans.
Conduct feasibility studies, project-based financial analysis, and ROI assessments.
Continuously review and enhance financial systems, SOPs, and internal control frameworks.
Ensure full compliance with Malaysian tax laws, including E-invoice implementation, SST filing, and corporate tax.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, banks, and relevant authorities.
Manage and safeguard company assets, insurance coverage, and assess financial risks proactively.
Collaborate closely with the management team to align financial operations with overall business goals.
Lead and support the finance team (if applicable), ensuring effective and efficient departmental performance.
Work cross-functionally with other departments to resolve finance-related issues and support company initiatives.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, etc.) is highly preferred.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on accounting experience, with strong proficiency in full-set accounting and e-invoicing (compulsory).
Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (spoken & written) to communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
Solid knowledge of MFRS and current Malaysian tax regulations.
Proficient in accounting software (preferably AutoCount) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
High level of integrity, reliability, and responsibility.
