Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking an Accounts Executive to manage the accounting and finance functions. The role involves preparing financial reports, managing tax compliance, and consolidating accounts. The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting and at least 8 years of experience in the field. Mastery of Microsoft Excel and proficiency in both English and Chinese are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree in Accounting or professional accounting qualification.
• 8 years relevant working experience in accounting/finance.
• Good command of English; proficiency in Chinese preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for end-to-end accounting & finance functions.
• Coordinate tax compliance and liaise with auditors and consultants.
• Prepare and review financial reports and yearly budgets.

• Responsible for the end-to-end accounting & finance functions for company/ private accounts, including full set of accounts; timely month end closing; etc.
• Responsible for consolidation of accounts; preparation, review & analysis of financial and management reports; yearly budgets; cashflow forecast; etc.
• Coordinate tax compliance and dealing with tax agents including Personal & Corporate Income Tax.
• Liaising with auditors, bankers, lawyers, other external consultants and relevant government authorities.
• Any other tasks to be assigned from time to time.
• Maintain proper accounting records and filing system.

Requirements:

• Possess minimum Degree on Accounting or professional accounting qualification(s).
• Have minimum 8 years relevant working experience in the related field.
• Competent in Microsoft EXCEL & WORD.
• Working knowledge in computerized accounting software.
• Experience in cash flow planning & corporate finance matters would be an added advantage.
• Good command of English.
• Proficiency in Chinese is preferred for communication with contacts in China and Hong Kong.
• This position is based in Group Chairman’s Office and reports directly to the Group Chairman.
