An established industry player is seeking an experienced accountant to manage a full set of accounts, including financial statements and bank reconciliations. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who can work independently and meet tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will possess a diploma or degree in Finance or Accounting, along with at least three years of relevant experience. Able to handle a full set of accounts such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Statements, Management Reports, and Bank Reconciliation.
Responsible for completing monthly accounting activities including timely monthly closing, journal posting, and group reporting.
Responsible for preparing and processing incoming invoices, staff claims, payments, receipts, balance sheet schedules, and fixed asset listings.
Involved in the preparation of the company forecast.
Prepare cash flow forecasts for cash flow management purposes.
Assist and support year-end audits.
Improve accounting systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
Maintain effective liaison with external parties – auditors, tax agents, bankers, and other relevant parties.
Maintain proper filing systems for accounting documents.
Undertake any other ad-hoc accounting duties and assignments as necessary.
Job Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
Minimum of three (3) years of working experience in a similar role.
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of SAP accounting systems is an advantage.
Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
Good command of both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Good interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with people at all levels.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and work under pressure.
Able to start immediately or on short notice is preferred.
