Job summary

A leading financial services provider in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a skilled accounting professional. You will manage financial reporting, assist in budget preparation, and liaise with auditors. A minimum of 4-5 years relevant experience and an LCCI/ACCA qualification are required for this role, where attention to detail and interpersonal skills are crucial for team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Handle a full set of accounts with proper financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly closing of accounts and reports.
  • Assist in preparing operational budgets and profit & loss forecasts.

Job description

Handle a full set of accounts with proper financial reporting.

Prepare monthly closing of accounts and reports, and ensure timely submission to management.

Assist the Senior Finance Manager in preparing the operational budget, profit & loss forecasts, cash flow statements, and conducting financial audits.

Manage interactions with external auditors, tax agents, and handle matters related to Corporate Income Tax, GST, and SST.

Assist with financing activities and annual reviews.

Review draft audited financial statements.

Handle corporate tax matters.

Assist with ISO documentation, as well as patent and trademark issues.

Review the work of subordinates.

Assist with ad-hoc assignments as required.

Education:

Candidate must possess at least an LCCI Higher Diploma, ACCA (Level I/II), or a degree qualification.

Work Experience:

Minimum of 4 to 5 years of relevant experience.

Skills:
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with accounting software such as SQL, Excel, and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Team player with independence, self-initiative, meticulousness, and a strong sense of honesty, accountability, and responsibility.
