Education: Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Degree, or Advanced Degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.

Languages: Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is a plus.

Full Set of Accounts

  • Handle full set of accounts including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and month-end/year-end closing.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with MFRS and company policies.

Bank Reconciliation & Cash Flow Management

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash flow position.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts to support operational and investment decisions.

Management Reporting

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis for internal review.
  • Present financial data to management and provide insights for decision-making.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

  • Prepare and submit SST, income tax, CP204, and other relevant statutory reports.
  • Liaise with tax agents, auditors, and company secretary to ensure timely filing and compliance.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in preparation of annual budget and periodic financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget utilization and flag discrepancies or potential overruns.

Internal Controls & Audit

  • Implement and monitor accounting controls, procedures, and policies.
  • Support external and internal audit processes, ensuring proper documentation and responses.

Accounts Aging Monitoring

  • Monitor accounts receivable aging to ensure timely collections.
  • Follow up with customers on overdue accounts and minimize bad debts.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as admin, operations, and procurement for accounting-related matters.
  • Liaise with banks, company secretary, suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies when necessary.

Team Supervision & Support

  • Supervise junior accounts staff (if any), provide guidance and review their work.
  • Assist in training and developing accounting team members.
