Job summary

A leading corporate services provider in Johor Bahru seeks a Senior Accounts Executive for their outsourcing office. Qualifications

  • Degree in Accountancy or professional qualification.

  • Fluent in English and Chinese for liaising with clients.

Job description

We are representing our client, which is a professional corporate services provider (accounting firm), with their HQ in Singapore.

They are looking for potential candidate to fill the position of Senior Accounts Executive to join their outsourcing office at Mount Austin, Johor Bahru.

Working Days: 5 working days (9am to 6pm)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full sets of books/accounts and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and regulatory requirements as well as adherence to Companys policies and procedures
  • Prepare and submit GST returns
  • Prepare yearly financial reports in XBRL format for Annual Return submission
  • Process monthly payroll computations and generate payroll reports
  • Prepare corporate tax computations
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts and variance analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and schedules that are to be delivered to the clients and other external parties
  • Assisting in the functions of client portfolio management
  • Ensure all clients needs are met in regards to answering queries promptly, building relationship with client and anticipating requirements
  • Provide clients with value-adding recommendations for improvements in processes and controls

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy or a professional qualification under ACCA, CIMA and ICAEW schemes
  • Minimum 2-3 years accounting/audit work experience in a public accounting firm
  • Conversant and understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and Company Act
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software (Xero, MYOB, Navision) and spreadsheets
  • Possess initiative and ability to work independently
  • Able to start in short notice or immediately is preferable
  • Language: English and Chinese (need to liaise with China clients)
