Job summary

Sum Technic Sdn Bhd is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accounts Executive with strong external audit and financial reporting experience in a PLC environment. The role covers full sets of accounts, consolidation, and statutory reporting in line with MFRS and Bursa Malaysia requirements.

You will work closely with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries, ensuring accurate records and timely closings. A degree in accounting and professional qualifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline.
• ACCA/CPA/ICAEW/CIMA/MICPA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience, including 2–3 years in external audit.
• Experience with PLCs and group audits is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MFRS and statutory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review full sets of accounts, management accounts, and financial statements.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare group consolidation schedules and assist in consolidated financial statements.
• Analyze financial results and variances to support management decisions.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and treasury management.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and other parties on audits and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with MFRS, Companies Act 2016, Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, and other statutory requirements.
• Review accounting records and internal controls for accuracy and compliance with policies.
• Support the preparation of audit schedules and respond to audit queries.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned by management.
