Senior Accounting Manager

Polaris Oil Sdn. Bhd. is involved in energy trading and sustainability-related projects, managing multiple business entities in Malaysia. We are looking for a reliable Senior Accounting Manager to handle daily accounting operations, monthly/yearly closings, and coordination with external service providers.

Tasks & responsibilities

1. Maintain full set of accounts for multiple entities (including dormant companies)
2. Handle monthly and yearly closing with accurate and timely reporting
3. Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, and bookkeeping tasks
4. Prepare management reports, simple cash flow updates, and payment tracking
5. Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretary for audits and statutory filings
6. Ensure basic compliance with SST and standard accounting procedures
7. Support document organisation for internal and external accounting reviews
8. Use SQL Accounting Software (or similar) for all accounting entries

Requirements

1. Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2. At least 5 years of hands-on accounting experience (preferably in SME or multi-entity setting)
3. Able to work independently with minimal supervision
4. Strong in bookkeeping, monthly closing, and general accounting tasks
5. Familiarity with SQL or other accounting software
6. Good communication and coordination skills with external parties (auditors, tax agents, company secretary)
7. High level of accuracy, reliability, and responsibility

What We Offer

Monthly salary: RM 6,000 – RM 6,500 depending on experience

Annual bonus based on attendance and performance (especially monthly/year-end closing)
