Description

• Oversee the complete accounting cycle, ensuring month-end and year-end closings are completed on schedule.
• Compile and review financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Ensure adherence to local tax laws, including VAT, withholding taxes, and corporate tax submissions.
• Manage cost accounting activities such as product cost calculation, inventory valuation, and variance assessments.
• Keep accurate records of fixed assets and track their depreciation.
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
• Develop and enforce robust internal controls and accounting standards.
• Prepare annual budgets and ongoing forecasts, tracking actual results versus planned figures.
• Provide financial analysis and modelling to aid in strategic planning and decision-making.
• Assist with ERP system upgrades or migrations, ensuring smooth financial data integration.
• Lead or contribute to finance-related projects, process enhancements, and automation efforts.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• Required professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA.
• At least 8 years of accounting experience, including a minimum of 3 years within a manufacturing setting.
• In-depth knowledge of cost accounting and financial operations specific to manufacturing.
• Skilled in using accounting software and ERP platforms like SAP, Oracle, or equivalents.
• Solid understanding of IFRS or local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong analytical abilities, effective communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of working autonomously and managing a small accounting team.
