This senior accountant position is responsible for managing intercompany accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting in line with internal policies and international accounting standards.

Description

  • Manage end-to-end intercompany transactions, including recording, reconciliation, and settlement across multiple legal entities.
  • Prepare and review intercompany journal entries in compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany eliminations.
  • Coordinate with global finance teams to investigate and resolve intercompany mismatches or variances.
  • Ensure documentation of intercompany policies and support external/internal audits with reconciliations and reports.
  • Participate in standardisation and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Assist with monitoring and reporting on intercompany cash flows and funding requirements.
  • Liaise with the treasury team to support intercompany payment settlements and cash positioning.
  • Help coordinate intercompany netting cycles, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation of transactions.
  • Provide accounting support for treasury-related journals and bank reconciliations linked to intercompany activities.

Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) or currently pursuing is advantageous.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a shared services or multinational corporation.
  • Familiarity with intercompany processes, reconciliations, and accounting best practices.
  • Working knowledge of treasury processes, particularly in intercompany settlements and cash flow tracking, is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as AS400, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to analyse high volumes of data accurately.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
