Job summary

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting

• Ensure the accounting records are prepared and maintained in accordance with the company's accounting policies & process, country law and IFRS standards;
• Ensure timely; accurate and efficient bookkeeping process;
• Assist with the preparation of accounting schedules and management reports;
• Ensure the accounting records are prepared and maintained in accordance with the group's accounting policies, local GAAP and IFRS.
• Ensure efficient, safe and reliable Accounts Receivable process, which includes generation aging report, reconciliation of statements; credit blocks and releases; customer review and creation;
• Ensure compliance with credit management policy and authorization matrix.

Accounts Payables

• Ensure that the accounts payable transactions and accruals (including rep offices) are accounted for in accordance with the company policies and process, supported by the necessary documentation;
• Liaise with affiliates on monthly reconciliation, billing and other related matters.

Treasury

• Ensure timely and accurate accounting of incoming and outgoing cash flows;
• Plan and monitor the cash position of the company, ensuring sufficient cash to meet daily operations;
• Ensure liquid funds are managed efficiently;
• Ensure timely and accurate submission into TIS, including monthly CF and bank balance updating and Rolling Cash Flow Forecast;
• Assist the Regional Finance Director in arranging borrowing - intercompany and external bank and ensure that the necessary documentations are in place;
• Assist to process dividend payment to tesa SE and ensure that the necessary documentation is in place;
• Assist and support the Regional Finance Director on FX management / hedging.

Fixed Assets

• Provide interpretative assistance to the proper capitalization / expense of outlays and grouping of fixed assets by class as well as depreciation methodology for both IFRS and Local regulations.

Staff claims / intercompany billings / Payment processing

• Ensure all staff claims and Corporate Credit Card holders' claims/recoveries are accounted for in accordance with the company policies and process, supported by the necessary documentation;
• Liaise with affiliates on monthly reconciliation, billings and other related matters;
• Ensure all payments are processed in a timely and accurate manner, supported by the necessary documentation.

Auditing & Tax

• Lead and support internal and external audit;
• Ensure timely and accurate local statutory reporting;
• Ensure GST/SST/VAT preparation is done, and quarterly returns are submitted timely and accurately;
• Reconcile VAT/SST/GST and Revenue report ensuring the accuracy of tax filing;
• Liaise and provide information / tax schedules to the external tax consultants;
• Review and check annual tax return / tax computation, ensuring timely and accurate submission;
• Ensure that all tax legal requirements are delivered;
• Liaise with Tax officer/ Consultant/ Internal and auditor for matters/audits/ad-hoc requirements.

Legal/ Company Sec

• Ensure compliance with both legal and tax requirements;
• Liaise with Corporate Secretary on corporate matters;
• Supervise and ensure timely submission and compliance with government bodies survey or statistical reports;
• Assist and Support the Regional Finance Director on company structures / tax and planning matters.

Governance/ Compliance/ Controls

• Ensure compliance with group's policies & procedures and local tax and statutory requirements;
• Review and ensure internal controls are in place and working effectively;
• Ensure necessary documentation and records are in place, according to group guidelines and local statutory requirements;
• Oversee, liaise and manage the internal and external audit process and tax query;
• Performed Risk Control Matrix assessment and filing.

Budgeting/ Forecasting

• Provide accounting details and answer to the Regional Finance Director;
• TREX and CIS input.

Controlling

Assist and support controlling activities, including but not limited to:

• SCM controlling, logistic cost
• Sale and Gross Margin analysis and investigation
• Costing of local converting and local subcontracting NARTs

Systems / Process Owner

• Key user and Process Owner for finance and accounting processes/procedures;
• Review, identify areas of optimization and optimize existing processes;
• Harmonize processes where possible by leveraging AI and digital tools to drive efficiency, automation and continuous improvement within finance processes.

Others

• Assist to liaise with authorities with regards to other legal requirements / submissions.

Ad hoc

• Provide financial analysis and project support for Projects / initiatives as a supporting member as and when required.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Minimum bachelor's degree majoring in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification
• Certified Public Accountant / Chartered Accountant or equivalent
• 5-7 years of relevant working experience
• ERP knowledge and experiences required, SAP/S4 Hana exposure preferred
• Strong in Microsoft Office Application, particularly MS Excel
• Practical experience in using AI and digital tools to improve work efficiency, data analysis and finance processes.
