Job summary

Airswift, a global workforce solutions provider, seeks a Senior Accountant to support accounting across local and international entities. The role covers IFRS, local GAAP, tax, treasury, audit, financial reporting, and internal controls in a complex international environment.

You will lead monthly closings, prepare reporting packages, and analyse consolidated balance sheets while ensuring adherence to group policies and internal controls.

Qualifications

• A business school qualification or related degree in finance/accounting.
• Minimum 5 years in accounting or audit environment.
• Experience in international environments and statutory accounting.
• Strong IFRS knowledge including IFRS 15/16 and IAS 37.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly closing tasks.

Job description

A leading company in the offshore energy industry is seeking a Senior Accountant to support accounting activities across local and international entities. This Senior Accountant opportunity offers broad exposure to IFRS, local GAAP, tax, treasury, audit, financial reporting, and internal control within a complex international environment.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring group accounting policies are applied and that internal control procedures are followed. The position includes monthly closing activities, preparation and review of monthly reporting packages, balance sheet analysis at consolidation level, and support for directional and IFRS reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in contract analysis and review of related legal documentation
• Prepare audit packs and liaise with external auditors
• Prepare tax packages in cooperation with the Tax Manager
• Support tax reporting activities
• Prepare financial statements for entities within scope, including audit and filing requirements
• Liaise with partners to obtain accurate financial data
• Contribute to process efficiency and continuous improvement
• Ensure internal controls are applied in line with framework requirements

Required Education

• Business School qualification or a financial and accounting related degree

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a related accounting environment or within an audit firm
• Experience working in an international environment
• Experience supporting statutory accounting and tax requirements
• Experience in audit processes and internal control

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 15 Revenue Recognition, IFRS 16 Leases, and IAS 37 provisions, contingent liabilities and assets
