Committed to local collaborations, Thales works closely with Malaysian businesses and goverment sectors to provide cutting-edge systems and solutions that ensure safety, security, and readiness for the future.As Senior Accountant, maintain accounting books and ensure monthly/yearly closings in accordance with IFRS and tax laws, and provide accurate and timely reporting as required.
Responsibilities
1. Maintain accounting books in ERP, prepare journals and ensure monthly/yearly closings
2. Report to group as required using reporting tools
3. Lead daily activities for the companies and supervise two Accounts Executives
4. Preparation of tax filing and other tax related requirements
5. Preparation of budget and forecast of general administration accounts
6. Others:
Internal control
Customer and Supplier accounts maintenance
Person of contact to internal and external stakeholders
Ad-hoc events and projects related to Finance
Requirements
1. Hands-on experience in accounting including closing for more than 5 years
2. Knowledge about accounting principles (IFRS / Taxation)
3. Good communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and multitasking
4. Able to work independently, detailed oriented
5. Experience using ERP and Microsoft applications, experience in managing or supervising other staff (preferred)
6. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent
