Senior Account Executive (Full Set Account)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the company’s full set of accounts using SQL and Autocount software.
  2. Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliation.
  3. Prepare and process accurate and timely invoices, ensuring proper documentation and authorization.
  4. Perform monthly closing activities, including preparing journal entries, adjusting entries, and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
  5. Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards, statutory requirements, and tax regulations (including e-invoice, SST, withholding tax, and income tax submissions).
  6. Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analysis for management review.
  7. Coordinate and support annual external audits, liaising with auditors to ensure accurate and timely completion.
  8. Monitor and manage cash flow, maintaining accurate cash forecasting and reporting.
  9. Maintain systematic filing and documentation for easy retrieval and compliance with internal control procedures.
  10. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners such as auditors, tax agents, bankers, and suppliers.
  11. Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, analyzing variances and providing insights to management.
  12. Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by management to support decision-making.
  13. Continuously identify and suggest improvements to financial processes, procedures, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the accounting field.
  • Able to work under tight deadlines, meticulous, proactive, multitask in a fast-paced environment, with a good sense of responsibility, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills. Work closely with other teams within the organization.
