Senior Account Executive, Broking (Employee Benefits)

We're hiring! We are looking for a Senior Account Executive, Broking to join our Health & Benefits team in KL, Malaysia. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from the office.

What the day will look like

Client Management:

  • Providing professional advice to clients in the Health & Benefits department by handling routine enquiries and transactions.
  • Developing and preparing renewal reports/proposals which include underwriting specifications and insurance summaries.
  • Follow-up on outstanding broking matters on a timely basis.
  • Review the quotes received from insurers in preparation of renewal reports/proposals.
  • Review coverage summary to be submitted to insurers for accuracy during quotation exercise and confirmation of placement.
  • Monitor on policies issuance and preparing advice for billings.
  • Consistently check accuracy of quotations, coverage summaries and policies.
  • Ensure credit control are up-to-date and follow-up with clients on premium payment.
  • Assisting the claims team on claims matters (where necessary).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Ensure the Team Lead is kept fully informed of nay pertinent issues or problems.


Data Management:

  • Ensure clients’ data and information are accurate and updated on timely manner.
  • Ensure all clients’ and insurer documentation and correspondences are kept in the designated file/folder for future reference.
  • Ensure all renewal documentation, i.e. policy/cover note/hold cover confirmation are sent to the clients on timely manner according to the guidelines.


Coaching:

  • To guide and coach new team members in H&B on work processes, procedures and company policies and compliances, as well as on certain technical aspects of the EB policies.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Education & Qualifications/ Expected Experiences:

  • Diploma/Degree in Business Admin/Insurance or related field
  • Professional qualification either in MII or CII (e.g. DMII, AMII, Dip CII or ACII)
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in related field

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Computer Skills (especially in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Communication skill in English (both written & oral)
  • Pleasant personality
