A leading company in the Automotive industry is seeking an Accounting Assistant with at least 5 years of experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, accounts reconciliation, and conducting internal audits. Preparation of monthly financial or management reporting which includes income statement, balance sheet, trial balance; general ledger reconciliation, aging report, listing.
Responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger including of preparing invoices, journal entries, CN, DN, receipts, checking supporting entries, reconciliation to creditors statements, perform bank reconciliations, inter-company and accounts reconciliations, fixed assets management, monitoring credit control and aged collection.
Maintain proper accounting in compliance with regulatory requirement & accounting standards.
Plan and conduct internal audit; and ensure compliance of Company’s policy and procedures.
Execute annual internal audit review on process and assess the level of compliance and make recommendations for improvement.
Ensure Group internal control policies and procedures are applied in each outlet.
Perform a budget vs. actual variance analysis to monitor actual revenues, expenses and profitability against projected budget.
Support budget and forecasting activities to understanding any key variances between actual and budget.
Assist in trade finance, foreign exchange and cash management.
Assist in annual financial audits and prepare audit schedules.
Assist in preparing tax analysis and tax computation.
Coordinate cycle and yearly stocks counts.
Liaise with bankers, auditors, tax agent, company secretary and other regulatory bodies.
Prepare monthly financial analysis timely for Management’s review.
Notify Management of any irregularities discovered such as unusual discount, unusual part purchase, late bank in etc; and investigates into any irregularities as and when required by Management.
Any other ad-hoc related tasks as assigned by the management.
Job Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Finance or any equivalent.
Min 5 year(s) working experience or similar role is required for this position, preferably in Automotive industry.
Self-motivated and ability to multi-task and work independently.
Responsible, possess good working attitude, time management skill and can meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Computer literate with Microsoft Office applications, especially in Excel.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in cash management/trade finance is an added advantage.
