Job summary

A leading company in Malaysia is looking for an experienced accountant to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will manage full sets of accounts, guide junior staff, and liaise with various stakeholders. Ideal applicants possess accounting qualifications, demonstrate excellent analytical and organizational skills, and have a strong command of Mandarin to communicate with clients.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting or audit.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work both independently and in a team.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

  • Handle full set of accounts and ensure timely monthly/yearly closing.

  • Review junior team members' work and provide guidance.

  • Liaise with clients, auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries.

  • Prepare financial reports and support client decision-making.

  • Respond to client queries, feedback, and complaints professionally.

  • Assist management in process improvement and team supervision.

Requirements

  • Possess a full or partial professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent), or a Degree in Accountancy / Finance or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting or audit, preferably in an accounting firm.

  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and procedures.

  • Skilled in using accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage priorities under pressure.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred, as the role may involve communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.
