Job summary

Job description

Manage daily accounting operations, including verification of payment and receipt transactions, and timely, accurate bookkeeping.

Review and process employee expense reimbursements, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate accounting entries.

Maintain detailed records of accounts receivable and payable, overseeing transactions with customers and vendors.

Collaborate with business departments to verify the accuracy and completeness of financial data and support cross-functional alignment.

Prepare and post monthly accruals, provisions, and cost allocations, ensuring proper matching of income and expenses.

Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and financial analysis to ensure accuracy of financial statements.

Prepare and submit consolidated financial and management reports in line with group or corporate reporting timelines.

Support internal process improvement initiatives, aiming to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations and reporting.

Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies, assisting with the preparation of audit schedules and compliance documentation during the annual audit.

Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and tax filing requirements, supporting VAT, CIT, and other statutory submissions.

Perform other ad hoc tasks assigned by superiors, including special projects, analysis, or financial support initiatives.

Requirements

At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of full-set accounting experience, including general ledger, month-end closing, and financial reporting.

Hands-on experience managing full-cycle company annual audits.

Familiarity with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are considered an added advantage.

Prior experience in the courier, logistics, or transportation industry will be considered an added advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).

Experienced in accounting and ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, Kingdee, or Yonyou.
