Senior Account Executive
Job description
- Manage full-set accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end/year-end closing.
- Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile bank statements, monitor cash flow, and ensure accuracy in treasury management.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and perform depreciation accounting.
- Prepare and submit tax filings, including SST and WHT tax.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., MFRS/IFRS).
- Implement and manage e-invoicing systems in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor e-invoicing submissions to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and external stakeholders for audits and assessments.
Treasury and Banking
- Perform the role of a bank maker by preparing payment instructions and transaction requests for management approval.
- Monitor daily cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds for operational needs.
- Manage foreign currency transactions to minimize exchange losses.
- Coordinate with banks to facilitate international wire transfers and other banking operations.
- Develop treasury policies to optimize working capital and mitigate financial risks.
Claims Administration
- Process and review employee claims for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure timely reimbursement and maintain proper documentation for all claims.
- Keep organized records of claims and expenses for audits and reporting.
Administrative
- Support day-to-day office operations, including procurement and vendor management.
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and operational documentation.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies.
- Maintain organized records of administrative activities and correspondence with shareholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, ACCA, or similar certifications are an advantage.
- Experience: At least 3-5 years in accounting and administration roles, preferably in IT or multinational companies.
- Experience handling banking systems and acting as a bank maker.
- Proficiency in e-invoicing systems and understanding of e-invoicing regulations.
- Skills: Proficient in full-set accounting and financial reporting standards.
- Familiar with accounting software (e.g., SQL, Xero, or Autocount) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations, compliance requirements, and e-invoicing frameworks.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with international transactions and cross-border financial processes.
- Proficiency in English (Mandarin is an advantage for liaising with Chinese stakeholders).
