Responsibilities
- Development of SAP RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) for SAP modules.
- Manage and ensure seamless integration of all development and technical tasks between all teams on integration and process-related activities.
- Develop and maintain Linux/Windows OS scripts for interface batch file transfer.
- Collaborate with Basis, Communications, Server, and IT security for integration architecture setup.
- Perform configuration settings and support for SAP PI NetWeaver and SAP Fiori.
- Assist all application analysts in developing functional specifications so they can be converted to technical specifications where required.
- Provide ongoing support for SAP systems, primarily in development and integration to third parties.
- Support and assessment of change requests (corrections, enhancements), proposing and developing solutions.
- Validate work tasks, costing, and delivery schedules for the project or assignment undertaken.
- Perform technical reviews to ensure development objects are optimal and meet business requirements.
- Challenge solutions provided by external consultants on best practices and ensure compliance with technical guidelines.
- Keep up with new technology in application development/programming work in ABAP/Web Services and other areas such as API and connectivity between systems.
- Guide junior programmers and monitor/supervise their work.
- Knowledge and experience in applying OSS notes.
- Uphold development standards and ensure efficient program design.
- Participate and support SAP projects/initiatives, performing tasks such as: writing technical specs, carrying out ABAP coding work, conducting testing, and providing technical training where required on system interfaces.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Systems or Engineering.
- At least 2-3 years SAP experience in the area of ABAP.
- Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and soft skills.
- Able to communicate well in English.
- Able to write clearly and concisely and work within tight deadlines.
- Able to work extended hours when necessary.
- Personal attributes such as maturity, interpersonal skills, professional integrity, and initiative.
- Challenge change requests for ABAP to ensure they are practical and in line with standard SAP where possible.
- Keen to learn, a team player, and have a good working attitude.
- MS Office (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Access, Visio) skills.
