Job summary

Brooks Automation in Malaysia is seeking a Test Technician to perform routine testing, assembly, calibration, and basic troubleshooting of semiconductor equipment. You will support technicians and engineers in day-to-day production while ensuring quality, safety, and cleanroom compliance.

The role involves reading blueprints and test specs, documenting results, and contributing to process improvements. Pasir Gudang location and rotating shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (preferred).
• 2–7 years in electronic/mechanical assembly, testing, or manufacturing.
• Basic understanding of semiconductor equipment and test methodologies.
• Ability to use hand tools, basic test instruments, and measurement equipment.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Willingness to learn and work in a team.
• Willing to work at Pasir Gudang.
• Willing to work on rotating shifts (3 shifts).

Responsibilities

• Perform end-of-line testing and burn-in according to procedures and customer specs.
• Assemble, set up, and adjust semiconductor equipment and sub-assemblies as per OMS.
• Execute predefined test plans and configurations.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to collect data and identify basic issues.
• Escalate complex issues to seniors with clear documentation.
• Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Record test results and observations in systems or reports.
• Support process improvements by feedback on test methods and WIs.
• Maintain safety, ESD, and cleanroom compliance.
• Participate in 5S and Lean manufacturing activities.
• Support line balancing and multi-skill deployment.
• Assist with ad hoc activities as required.
