Job description

Implement and enforce security guidelines and supervise daily security functions. Drive effective security and safety programs and initiatives to minimize risks and achieve a zero-theft, zero-injury culture.

Ensure that the aquarium complies with fire safety requirements as per fire safety code.

Document security and safety reviews, make recommendations, and provide comprehensive reports on findings with suggested solutions. Follow up on all outstanding issues.

Generate, maintain, and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). All changes must be documented with subsequent approvals and synchronized with KL Convention Center’s SOPs.

Conduct regular training and briefings for all staff regarding security, emergency, and evacuation procedures.

Maintain records of all security and fire safety matters.

Manage, operate, repair, and maintain CCTV systems.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is the minimum educational requirement.
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields is often required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for incident documentation and effective communication.
• Ability to interact professionally with the public, employees, and handle conflicts or crises diplomatically.
• Understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to security and safety.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and be available for on-call duties.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience in security and safety preferred.
