Security Products Services Engineer
The role of the Security Products and Services Engineer is to implement, administer and support the Rimini Street security solutions under the guidance of a Security Solutions Architect. SPSE will follow the project plans and apply the best practices to work with the client’s IT teams to implement the security products. These products will be implemented in the client’s on‑premise or cloud IT landscapes where various business‑critical applications such as Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft, SAP, JDE, Hyperion, etc., are hosted for Rimini Street clients. The SPSE will be responsible for successful implementation, integration and verification of the security solutions during the installation phase.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot security products following repeatable project plans under the guidance of Security Solutions Architects.
- Work with the client’s IT teams to integrate the solution with various SIEM solutions.
- Provide complete post‑implementation monitoring and deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as defined in the signed SOW.
- Document client implementation configurations and keep configuration documents up to date.
- Assist the client’s Primary Support Engineer and account managers with the data required for business reviews.
- Work with Onboard Project Managers to provide project status during the initial implementation stages.
- Manage security product support cases, ensuring timely updates in accordance with SLAs.
- Manage the product issue log and collaborate with Senior Solutions Architects to troubleshoot product‑specific issues.
- Create and manage status updates for project plans using templates for all security product‑related projects, maintaining high standard SLAs and quality.
- Self‑train to learn new security products for efficient implementation and support.
Qualifications
- Good understanding of various tiers of technology stacks (network, application servers, database servers, etc.).
- Installation and configuration experience of various types of software following installation & configuration manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and tenacity in problem solving.
- Good customer service skills and ability to build long‑term, successful working relationships with clients.
- Proven experience as a key contributor for various IT projects, ensuring overall success of professional and managed services.
- 3+ years of relevant experience with IT procedures.
- 3+ years of experience with Data Center Operations (in‑house and outsourced).
- 3+ years of experience with software installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with installation and configuration of new products following product documentation and best practices.
- Good understanding of industry‑leading security solutions and implementation architectures for products like Database Activity Monitoring, Application Monitoring, and virtual patching.
- Good understanding of generic IT infrastructure in public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) and private cloud providers with global and local scale.
- Experience in following managed services or professional services offering and meeting contractual SLAs.
- Consulting background supporting various clients.
- Knowledge of IT security concepts and practices such as virtual patching, cloud security, encryption, and identity management.
Location
Hybrid – Selangor or Penang office.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
