Job Summary

Job Title: Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager Location: TechM Malaysia Cyberjaya Years of Experience: 10 - 12 Years Job Summary: The Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager will lead and manage the day to day operations of the SOC, ensuring continuous monitoring, detection, response, and recovery from cyber threats across both IT and OT systems. This role is critical in safeguarding the organization¿s digital and operational infrastructure while ensuring compliance with national and aviation specific cybersecurity standards. Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the SOC, ensuring effective monitoring and response to security incidents. Develop and implement SOC processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management. Coordinate incident response activities, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security incidents. Conduct regular threat assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential risks to the organization. Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations and standards, particularly in the aviation sector. Collaborate with IT and OT teams to integrate security measures into existing systems and processes. Prepare and present reports on SOC performance, incident trends, and security posture to senior management. Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to enhance SOC capabilities. Manage relationships with external vendors and partners related to cybersecurity services and tools. Mandatory Skills: Proven experience in managing Security Operations Centers (SOC). Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including CISSP. Expertise in security operations software and tools. Experience in software development security practices. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong analytical and problem solving abilities. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Preferred Skills: Experience with incident response and threat hunting. Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) tools. Knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to the aviation industry. Certifications such as CISM, CEH, or similar are a plus. Qualifications: Bachelor¿s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. 10 - 12 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security operations. Proven track record of leading teams and managing complex security operations.
