Job Title: Security Operations Analyst - APAC

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Hybrid working

About the role

Due to growth we are excited to be hiring for a Security Operations Analyst based in Kuala Lumpur to join our Information Security Team.

As part of your role, you will work alongside the Security Ops Team Lead as a key part of the technical security operations team, responding to incidents, looking for threats and managing security technologies.

You will also be tasked with supporting the implementation of global policies, strategies, processes, standards, procedures and controls for Information Security and being the contact for IT Security related incidents.

Working closely with IT Operations to ensure critical business assets are adequately protected from cyber-related threats using appropriate technical controls. You will be tasked with documenting process and procedures pertaining to security operations and incident response.

Responsibilities:

  1. Research, design, and implement cyber security solutions for organization systems and products that comply with all applicable security policies and standards.
  2. Provide subject matter expertise to the wider IT organisation for strategic and tactical initiatives and operations.
  3. Work with IT, internal and external business partners to ensure that security is factored in the evaluation, selection, installation and configuration process of hardware and software.
  4. Analyse and make recommendations to improve network, system and application architectures and configurations.
  5. Examine network, server, application logs to determine trends and identify as well as respond to security incidents.
  6. Assist in the review and update of cyber security policies, architectures and standards.
  7. Assist in responding to audits, penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.
  8. Manage security solutions including troubleshooting, implementing and maintaining.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  1. Hands on previous experience in a similar role.
  2. Security Operations experience.
  3. Minimum 1 year MS Defender experience.
  4. Experience of Microsoft security stack including tools included in M365 E5 including sentinel.
  5. Fluent English written and spoken.
  6. Experience with System and Network Administration.
  7. Beneficial to have qualifications e.g. CISSP, GSEC, Security +, AZ 500 , SC-200 or equivalent.
  8. Strong communication and ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders.
