KSL City is the most amazing destination in Johor Bahru with the finest retail shopping, dining, hotel accommodation of 868 rooms, live entertainment, sporting events of the region and not forgetting our Residential Service Apartment of 612 units which is just a stone throw away from the Retail Mall itself. Host to approximately 500 units of retail outlets with a parking bay that accommodates 2,500 cars, we provide shopping experience as the walkway of sizzling excitement leads to a new adventure with its choice of fashion, varieties of cuisine and urban leisure. KSL City is strategically located in Johor Bahru City Centre which is only 5 minutes driving distance from Singapore Customs Checkpoint (new CIQ). Hence, we attract both local & foreigners as well as Singaporeans which majority consists of families and youngsters with traffic flow that has reached 0.8 million to 1 million per month and not to mention, an average occupancy rate of 80% at our KSL Resort Hotel.

Position Summary :

We are looking for a highly responsible and experienced Security Manager to oversee all security operations at our shopping complex. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for shoppers, tenants, employees, and assets. This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive security protocols, managing security personnel, and responding promptly to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Security Operations :
- Oversee daily security operations throughout the complex, including entrances, exits, parking areas, and common spaces.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standard operating protocols (SOPs).
- Monitor and manage access control systems, CCTV surveillance, and alarm systems.

- Team Management :
- Lead, train, and schedule a team of security officers andsupervisors. - Conduct regular performance evaluations and ensure continuous training in emergency response, conflict management, and safety protocols.
- Supervise third-party security service providers (if applicable).

- Emergency Preparedness & Response :
- Create and update emergency response and evacuation plans.
- Coordinate and lead fire drills and safety audits in collaboration with local authorities.
- Act as the point of contact for emergencies, including theft, medical incidents, and fire alarms.

- Incident Management :
- Investigate and document all security-related incidents, reporting findings to management and authorities as required.
- Maintain detailed records of incidents, patrols, and security-related matters.
- Liaise with local police, fire departments, and other emergency services.

- Customer & Tenant Relations :
- Provide support and guidance to tenants and shoppers on safety and security matters.
- Address and resolve complaints or concerns related to security promptly and professionally.

- Loss Prevention :
- Implement strategies to prevent shoplifting, vandalism, and property damage.
- Collaborate with tenants on theft prevention measures and awareness training.

- RegulatoryCompliance : - Ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations concerning security, safety, and fire prevention.
- Keep all licenses, certifications, and documentation current and in good standing.

Qualifications :

- Diploma or Degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a security leadership role, preferably in a retail, commercial, or hospitality environment.
- Proven experience managing large teams and handling crisis situations.
- Strong understanding of security technologies, including CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of local safety and emergency protocols.
- Must be physically fit and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
