Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Johor Bahru is seeking a Security Engineer for our Data Centre operations. You will perform routine security site walks across Data Halls, Storage Rooms, and Office Spaces to ensure door and badge reader functionality and monitor cameras and sensors.

The role requires a Diploma with at least two years of on-site experience in data centers or COLO environments, strong report writing, and the ability to work flexible shifts and travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma holder with relevant security background.
• At least 2 years of on-site experience in data centers or COLO environments.
• Strong report writing and data entry skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and travel between sites as needed.
• Good situational awareness and adherence to safety/security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine security site walks to validate doors, badge readers and device status.
• Identify and report security incidents, safety hazards, or hardware anomalies.
• Bring in vendors for camera or badge reader installs and security retrofits.
• Support critical security events as directed and maintain daily status reports.
• Attend team meetings and briefings; comply with PPE and NDAs.
• Assist with access control onboarding and presence in leased spaces.

• Identify and report:

  - Hardware anomalies or malfunctions
• Bring in vendors during projects such as:
  - Camera or badge reader installs
  - Physical security retrofits
• Support critical security events (e.g., destruction events, media anomalies) as directed
• Maintain accurate daily status reports
• Attend regular team meetings and briefings
• Comply with PPE requirements and non-disclosure agreements
• Participate in access control onboarding and provide presence in leased spaces

Requirements
