Position: Security Assistant Manager, Protocol & Quality Management

Reports To

Manager, Quality Assurance & Compliance

Role Purpose

To ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards at Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB). This role focuses on maintaining a secure operational environment by overseeing compliance processes, audits, and quality assurance documentation. The incumbent must also provide support to the Manager, Quality Assurance & Compliance, and the department.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Security Audit Oversight: Plan, execute, monitor, and report on security audits to ensure compliance with CAAM and other relevant regulations.
  2. Quality Assurance: Implement and document quality assurance measures to uphold high security standards.
  3. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing security and compliance processes and lead their implementation.
  4. Audit Programme Management: Manage security audit programmes, including corrective actions and evaluations.
  5. Programme Review & Revision: Review and update security programmes like MASP, MASTP, MABQCP, etc., to ensure they meet standards and regulations.
  6. Security Training: Oversee security training programmes ensuring they meet industry and regulatory standards.
  7. Programme Management & Awareness: Monitor effectiveness of security awareness and promotion initiatives.
  8. Representation & Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the unit in meetings, liaise with authorities, law enforcement, and external entities.
  9. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with internal manuals, policies, and external regulations.
  10. Audit Preparedness: Maintain readiness for internal and external audits by MAG, regulators, and FOCA.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience or Diploma with 7 years of experience in relevant fields.

Experience

Experience in security management, criminal justice, criminology, or related fields.
