About the role

The Section Head Special Projects plays a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic delivery of high-impact initiatives across the organization. This role requires a strong operational and managerial background, particularly in leading complex transformation efforts. You will develop and implement special project strategies that align with organizational goals and ensure effective service delivery to both internal stakeholders and external clients.

What you'll be doing

Define project scopes, develop baseline project plans, secure necessary resources, and monitor all project activities.

Drive the execution of projects, track progress, and manage changes, conflicts, and escalations effectively.

Manage client and stakeholder relationships by building trust, arranging progress reviews, and coordinating events.

Oversee financial performance of projects, ensuring proper cost monitoring and control.

Participate in business development efforts, including pre-sales discussions and contract preparation.

Improve project management practices by streamlining processes, tools, and introducing innovative methods.

Serve as the main point of contact for all client-related concerns, maintaining confidence and service satisfaction.

Ensure regular updates to clients on the performance of services they have subscribed to.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, NOC, etc.) to ensure successful service delivery.

Develop a solid understanding of the company’s products and services to identify upsell, cross-sell, renewal, and growth opportunities.

Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions that meet client needs and objectives.

Take ownership of critical incidents, coordinate resolution efforts, and manage communication for post-incident reviews.

Ensure systems, procedures, and methodologies are in place for cost-effective project execution.

Lead and manage the Special Projects team, including recruitment, coaching, performance reviews, and training.

Monitor and manage the agreed project budgets and costs, with any variations approved by the Head of Department.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 15 years of project management experience, with a strong track record in TMT transformation projects.

Experience in IP/Transmission network modernization, data center setup, OSS/BSS, and cybersecurity is highly preferred.

Familiarity with MVNO operations, hosting, SaaS platforms, cloud-based applications, and software development life cycle (SDLC).

PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is an advantage.

Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including C-suite.

Excellent negotiation, presentation, and time management abilities.

Solid knowledge of incident handling, escalation procedures, and project governance.
