Job summary

InsightOut is seeking a Search Engine Optimization Content Intern for a full-time hybrid role based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will plan and create SEO-focused content, conduct keyword research, and assist with on-page optimization and SEO audits while collaborating with marketing and design teams.

You will gain hands-on experience in performance marketing and SEO within a data-driven environment, with exposure to WordPress and basic HTML as part of your daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Keyword research and basic On-Page SEO optimization for content.
• Foundational SEO audits and identifying technical or content-related issues.
• Interest or experience in Link Building and white-hat SEO practices.
• Basic knowledge of Web Analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console).
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail for digital content creation.
• Ability to learn quickly, work independently and in teams in a hybrid environment.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, IT, or related field.
• Familiarity with WordPress and basic HTML is a plus but not mandatory.

Role Description

The Search Engine Optimization Content Intern is a full-time, hybrid role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The intern will assist in planning and creating SEO-focused content, including blog posts, landing pages, and website copy aligned with keyword strategies and business goals. Day-to-day tasks include conducting keyword research, supporting on-page optimization, helping with SEO audits, and monitoring performance using web analytics tools. The role also involves collaborating with marketing and design teams, contributing to link-building activities, and staying up to date on SEO best practices. This internship offers hands-on experience in performance marketing and SEO within a collaborative, data-driven environment.

• Foundational skills in conducting SEO Audits and identifying technical or content-related SEO issues.
• Interest or experience in Link Building and understanding of ethical, white-hat SEO practices.
• Basic knowledge of Web Analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console) to track and interpret performance.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail and an interest in digital content creation.
• Ability to learn quickly, work both independently and in teams, and manage tasks in a hybrid work environment.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
