The opportunity
United Imaging Healthcare (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a talented and experienced professional to join our team as the SEA Indirect ProductsRegional Procurement. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and supply chain operations across the Southeast Asia region, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective delivery of critical products and services to support our growing business.
Key responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the business objectives and drive operational excellence
Manage supplier relationships and negotiate favourable contracts to optimise cost, quality and delivery
Oversee the procurement of a wide range of products and services, including medical equipment, consumables, and IT-related supplies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address supply chain challenges and risks
Implement and maintain effective inventory management systems to ensure availability of critical supplies
Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
Provide strategic guidance and support to local procurement teams across the SEA region
What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years of experience in the medical device sector, preferably within at least 3 years focused on third-party products/consumables for medical imaging equipments.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex supply chain operations and delivering cost savings
Strong negotiation and contract management skills with the ability to build and maintain positive supplier relationships
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving operational efficiency
Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and the use of procurement software and tools
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and provide strategic leadership
Fluent in English, with proficiency in other regional languages an advantage
