A leading company in Johor Bahru is looking for a driven Procurement Specialist to support regional procurement functions. This role entails sourcing standard components and managing supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with procurement processes. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within manufacturing or engineering environments.
We are seeking a driven and experienced individual to support regional procurement functions with a focus on sourcing standard components and fabrication parts for technical project requirements. This role will involve supplier management, sourcing activities, and cross-functional collaboration to meet project timelines and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support sourcing and procurement activities, focusing on quality, cost efficiency, lead time, and supply assurance.
* Manage quotation processes and procurement of technical materials, ensuring alignment with internal specifications and project milestones.
* Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships to support ongoing improvements in capabilities, technologies, and service levels.
* Support price and contract negotiations to achieve optimal value and risk mitigation.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., project, R&D, engineering) to support procurement requirements across various project stages.
* Troubleshoot and resolve supply-related issues to support timely project execution.
* Ensure compliance with internal procurement processes and support continuous process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Familiarity with sourcing of technical or fabricated components (electronics/metal materials a plus).
* Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
* Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
