Job summary

A logistics and freight forwarding company located in Selangor is seeking an experienced individual to coordinate shipping operations. Responsibilities include managing shipment documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations, and monitoring shipment progress. The ideal candidate should possess at least a Higher Secondary qualification, be proficient in English, and have a minimum of 3 years' experience in freight forwarding. Knowledge of sea freight and MS Office applications is essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years working experience in a freight forwarding company.
  • Experience with shipping lines and other suppliers.
  • Good knowledge of handling sea freight shipments and related documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all shipping operations with international offices and local contractors.
  • Keep customers updated on shipment progress and ensure timely delivery.
  • Create ocean freight forwarding documents.
  • Ensure document compliance for dangerous goods shipments.
  • Verify completeness of all forwarding documents.
  • Monitor incoming shipments for estimated arrival.
  • Ensure accurate invoicing of shipments.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Coordinate all shipping operations with international offices and local contractors.
  • Keep customers and all parties updated on shipment progress (including collection, shipping date, arrival date, etc.) and ensure timely handling and on‑time delivery of shipments.
  • Create ocean freight forwarding documents such as carrier arrival notices, delivery order releases for carriers/CFS, and cartage advice.
  • Ensure that all documents for dangerous goods shipments are in place and comply with carrier requirements when necessary.
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of all forwarding documents.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all data entry and complete receipt of documents before customs declaration.
  • Enter shipment details into the system and monitor all incoming shipments through CargoWiceOne, carrier websites, or Portnet for estimated arrival information.
  • Ensure accuracy invoicing of shipments in accordance with company KPIs.
  • Report to Manager.
Job Requirements
  • Possess at least Higher Secondary/STPM/"A" Level/Pre‑U, Diploma in any field.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
  • Experience working with shipping lines and other suppliers.
  • Good knowledge of handling sea freight shipments and the related documentation.
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in a freight forwarding company.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
