Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and evaluate advanced materials for energy applications, including fusion, fission, hydrogen technologies, or other extreme environment systems.
  • Conduct research on materials for harsh and extreme environments to improve performance and reliability in energy systems.
  • Assist project and group leaders in preparing research proposals and achieving OKR (Objectives and Key Results).
  • Publish high-quality scientific papers and contribute to intellectual property development.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on energy-related projects.

Job Requirements:

  • PhD in Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
  • Strong publication record and/or relevant industry experience.
  • Proven expertise in materials development for energy-related research such as fusion, fission, hydrogen, or other advanced energy systems.
  • Experience with materials characterization techniques and performance evaluation in extreme environments.
  • Solid understanding of metallurgy, material degradation mechanisms, and structural integrity analysis.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and effective teamwork skills.
