Job summary

UCSI Schools Group seeks a dedicated on-site healthcare professional to provide comprehensive medical care for pupils, staff and visitors at the campus medical centre. You will coordinate the sick-bay, administer medicines, and ensure holistic health services are delivered, including immunisations and emergency first aid.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage the medical centre and sick-bay areas.

Ensure full and holistic health care provision for pupils.

To co-ordinate and manage the medical centre and sick-bay areas.
To administer medicines as necessary.
To ensure full and holistic health care provision for pupils.
To treat and advise staff with common and minor ailments.
To accompany the pupils to external surgeries, medical centres, and hospitals as necessary.
To provide total care of 'in patients' at the school.
To administer first aid to pupils and staff in emergencies.
To manage childhood immunisations as required.
To maintain accurate hard copy records as necessary and co-ordinate these with our on-line database.
To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of chronic disease and childhood ailments.
To implement healthcare plans for pupils with illness such as diabetes, anaemia etc. as necessary.
To work alongside the Principal as appropriate in order to co-ordinate any necessary healthcare plans.
To be ever aware of pupils' physical and emotional needs alongside the teachers and outside professionals as necessary.
To gather appropriate medical information and maintain the necessary records.
To maintain sufficient levels of medical supplies and drugs.
Include in keeping and maintaining an up-to-date auditing all received medical supplies and equipment.
To play an active part in the school's health programme, including 'hygiene' and education regarding adolescent changes, drugs, alcohol, etc and directed by Principal.
To oversee an overview of pupils' personal hygiene including hair, nails, etc.
To maintain professional competence.
To provide teachers and chaperones with pupil-based medical information prior to school trips and outings.
To provide first aid kit for all school trips and sporting events.
To ensure the maintenance of all first aid kits on site and in the school vehicles.
To offer general administrative support and assistance with various task, as necessary.
To establish school medical protocol and ensure that it is always adhered to.
To complete accident reports as needed and communicate these with administration.
To communicate to staff on pupils with severe allergies and medical conditionsProvide information regarding the use of any emergency measures if needed.
To coordinate emergency communication with local hospitals and ambulance services.
To attend and monitor pupils during after school activities as and when required.
To support and perform any other related duties given by your supervisor from time to time.
To work with the Principal to create and coordinate any whole School Campus pandemic level medical interceptions to monitor the local and national development to inform the Principal of any required actions.
