Job summary

Thakral One is seeking a SAS ETL Lead in Kuala Lumpur to design, develop, and manage enterprise data integration, leading a team of ETL developers in a data-driven environment.

You will drive reliable data delivery, collaborate with analysts and architects, and ensure governance and quality across ETL pipelines. The role requires strong SAS DI Studio experience and leadership capabilities in a technical team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in ETL development, including 3+ years with SAS DI Studio.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL methodologies, and data modelling.
• Hands-on with Oracle, SQL Server, or other relational databases.
• Proficient in SQL for extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Experience tuning ETL jobs and queries for performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and ongoing maintenance of ETL processes using SAS DI Studio.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to translate data requirements into integration solutions.
• Integrate data from Oracle, SQL Server, and other relational databases into enterprise data warehouses.
• Optimise ETL workflows to improve performance, scalability, and reliability across data pipelines.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and alignment with governance requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to ETL developers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ETL issues to maintain delivery timelines and system stability.
• Document ETL processes, standards, and best practices to support maintainability.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to enable reporting, analytics, and BI initiatives.
