Job summary

BAT is seeking an experienced SAP Senior Finance Consultant in Selangor, Malaysia to lead end-to-end SAP FICO product strategy and lifecycle. You will coordinate with DBS corporate functions, IT, and finance teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant SAP capabilities supporting Record-to-Report processes.

The role requires extensive SAP landscape know-how, SOX experience, and strong leadership to manage roadmaps, vendor partnerships, and governance across global teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of SAP FICO experience supporting R2R finance processes.
• Extensive SAP landscape expertise including S/4HANA, ECC, Fiori, BTP, and integrations.
• Experience in IT delivery, Release Management, QA, and Platform Governance.
• Proven leadership in managing enterprise tech products with roadmaps and investments.
• Experience in SOX-compliant environments and IT governance.

Role Summary

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

The Senior Product Manager is accountable for defining and leading end-to-end technical strategy, lifecycle management, and operational health of business-critical SAP product that is supporting the BAT Finance processes, ensuring that the platform remains secure, compliant, reliable, scalable, and aligned to evolving business and technology requirements.

The role governs the complete product lifecycle from strategy development, roadmap planning, platform modernization, and risk management through delivery oversight, operational support, and continuous improvement. It serves as a single point of accountability for ensuring that business priorities are translated into product outcomes, technical risks are proactively managed, platform performance is optimized, and long‑term product sustainability is maintained.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from strategy, roadmap, and investment planning through deployment, adoption, enhancement, and retirement.
• Manage business demand and priorities by gathering requirements, conducting fit-gap analysis, assessing impacts, and maintaining the product backlog based on business value.
• Lead change governance and delivery by ensuring all changes align with approved processes, controls, and governance requirements.
• Partner with collaborators and architects to translate business needs into practical, scalable, and sustainable technology solutions.
• Drive product performance and value realization through benchmarks, success metrics, adoption initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
• Ensure quality, compliance, and risk management by supporting audits, SOX controls, quality assurance activities, and operational standards.
• Oversee vendors and service providers by reviewing estimates, managing delivery partners, handling critical issues, and ensuring service outcomes meet expectations.
• Support operational excellence across release management, deployment, service transition, production support, and ongoing operational performance.

What are we looking for?

• 15+ years of SAP FICO experience supporting Record-to-Report (R2R) finance processes, including end-to-end implementations, production support, and full lifecycle delivery from design through production.
• Strong SAP landscape expertise, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP Fiori, SAP BTP, and SAP Integration Technologies, with a solid understanding of SAP-enabled business capabilities and enterprise technology environments.
• Extensive experience in Enterprise IT delivery, Release Management, Quality Assurance, and Platform Governance, including managing enterprise-wide releases and quality governance processes.
• Proven leadership in managing enterprise technology products, platforms, or digital capabilities, with experience defining product roadmaps, prioritizing investments, and balancing short-term business needs with long-term strategic goals.
• Experience working in audit-regulated and SOX-compliant environments, with a strong understanding of SOX controls, change management processes, implementation cycles, and IT governance requirements.
• Strong collaborator management and communication skills, with demonstrated success engaging senior business leaders, influencing cross-functional teams, building relationships across global matrix organizations, and navigating complex environments.
• Strong strategic, analytical, financial, and decision-making capabilities, coupled with resilience, agility, conflict resolution, coaching, mentoring, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
• Bachelor's degree required, with SAP FICO certification preferred; additional certifications or knowledge in Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps, SAFe, ITIL, and value-drive
