Job summary

Lavu Tech Solutions Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to administer, monitor, configure, and maintain SAP systems to keep landscapes stable, secure, and highly available. The role collaborates with functional, development, infrastructure, security, and business teams and covers on-call rotation.

You will handle transport management, RFC connections, and performance tuning. Candidates should have hands-on SAP Basis experience across DEV/QA/PRD and be comfortable

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in SAP Basis administration.
• Ability to manage SAP landscapes across DEV/QA/PRD.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day SAP Basis administration across SAP landscapes such as DEV, QA, and PRD.
• Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems and components.
• Manage SAP system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Perform SAP system start/stop, kernel upgrades, support package updates, and patches.
• Manage transport requests and transport management using STMS.
• Configure and maintain RFC connections, background jobs, printers, and SAP profiles.
• Monitor system health, work processes, logs, dumps, locks, and system resources.
• Perform SAP user administration, including roles, authorizations, and password-related activities in coordination with the Security team.
• Support SAP database administration activities and coordinate with DB teams where required.
• Perform and monitor SAP backup and recovery activities
• Support SAP upgrades, migrations, installations, and system refreshes.
• Troubleshoot issues related to SAP application servers, connectivity, interfaces, jobs, and system performance.
• Manage SAP services and integration components such as SAP Gateway, Web Dispatcher, and SAProuter, where applicable.
• Support HA/DR, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
• Coordinate with SAP, infrastructure, database, network, and application teams for incident resolution.
• Participate in 24x7 production support/on-call rotation, if required.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and system inventories.
• Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, change, and service request management.
