Job description

Our client is an award-winning strategy &technology consulting firm with a dominant presence inSoutheast Asia.

They are seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented SAP ABAP Consultant to join their enterprise technology team.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with ABAP programming, a solid understanding of SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD), and the ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. This role is critical for maintaining and improving SAP systems that support their enterprise clients.

Please note that this is a CONTRACT, REMOTEposition open to candidates residing in Thailand, Indonesia,Malaysia, and Brunei only.Minimum guaranteed duration will be 1 year.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW).
• Implement user exits, customer exits, enhancement points, and BADIs.
• Create and manage IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and web services for system integration.
• Build data migration programs using BDC, LSMW, or direct input methods.
• Create forms using SAPscript, SmartForms, or Adobe Forms.
• Support Fiori app backend with OData services.
• Debug and fix custom or standard SAP issues.
• Optimize program performance (SQL trace, runtime analysis, buffering).
• Work with functional consultants (e.g., MM, FI, SD) to convert business needs into technical specs.
• Prepare technical documentation and user manuals.
• Support unit testing, UAT, go-live, and post-go-live activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 10+ years of experience as an SAP ABAP Developer/Consultant.
• Strong knowledge of core ABAP development tools and techniques (Reports, Module Pool, ALV, SmartForms, SAP Scripts).
• Experience with object-oriented ABAP and enhancement frameworks (BADI, Enhancement Points, Implicit/Explicit Enhancements).
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori/UI5 development and OData services is a plus.
• Exposure to S/4HANA and CDS Views is advantageous.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
