Job Summary
As the Sales Team Leader (Trade-In), you will oversee and guide the team in handling trade-ins and purchasing used cars from customers. Your responsibilities include evaluating vehicles, negotiating trade-in deals, and ensuring a smooth and efficient process in collaboration with Sales Advisors. You will lead the team in building strong partnerships with car dealers and other stakeholders, driving business growth and operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership, a passion for the automotive industry, and a strategic mindset to optimize trade-in opportunities and team performance.

  • Recruit, train and develop NCS/UCD Business Managers
  • Motivate and coach Business Managers to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Provide regular feedback and conduct performance reviews
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve volume and profit goals
  • Analyze market trends and customer preferences to adjust sales strategies
  • Ensure effective pricing and promotional strategies to maximise sales
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with new or used car dealers and participate in their events
  • Resolve customer's complaints and issues promptly and professionally
  • Monitor and improve the sales process to enhance the customer experience
  • Monitor sales performance from both NCS/UCD Business Managers and team sales targets
  • Continue to look for new prospects and maintain the ongoing growth and satisfaction of our existing customer base
  • Track and report on key performance metrics
  • Take necessary actions to address underperforming staff
  • Ensure all sales transactions and paperwork comply with legal and dealership standards
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and guidelines
  • Ad hoc assignments are assigned by the direct superior/management team.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Automotive Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in automotive sales, trade-ins, or related industries.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or team management role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with team members, customers, and partners.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Leadership and motivational skills to drive team performance and meet targets.
  • Willingness to travel locally to meet customers, dealers, or attend events as needed.
  • Flexibility to work weekends or extended hours based on business needs.
