Job summary

A global packaging company in Malaysia is seeking a Sales Representative to drive business growth by generating strong sales opportunities and managing customer relationships. Candidates should have over 3 years of experience in sales, ideally in fast-moving consumer goods or related industries. Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication in English, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. This role requires a proactive attitude and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • More than 3 years of working experience in sales, preferably in FMCG, trading, or packaging industry.
  • Experience in handling Foodservice customers or B2B environment is an advantage.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Generate sales opportunities and convert them into real sales.
  • Grow existing accounts through cross-selling and upselling.
  • Provide detailed information for product sourcing and issue quotations promptly.
  • Conduct market research and prepare necessary reports.

Job description

Work on competition insight to generate strong sales opportunities in the pipeline and convert into real sales

Grow existing accounts by cross selling and upselling product mix with decent profitability

Provide detailed information to procurement team for product sourcing

Issue quotation to customers promptly and win the deal

To meet and exceed assigned sales & profit margin target

Conduct market research, identify opportunities and monitor market trends and prepare necessary visit report, sales report that are assigned.

To assist in planning, coordinating & implementing sales & marketing strategies

Update details in the Sales Force diligently

To prepare daily visit reports & visit updates.

Customer Service

Build and maintain excellent customers’ relationship to increase the depth of our business year-on-year.

Provide demand forecast to customer service / planner for accurate inventory planning

Share customers’ intelligence with stakeholders for necessary actions

Account Receivables

Ensure customer prompt payment within approved credit term

Inventory Management

Ensure correct demand & forecast for healthy stock levels and actively participate in inventory meeting to ensure alignment with actual demand to reduce excess stock

The sales personnel is required to report to the office daily and as requested by the manager, ensuring consistent communication, alignment on sales targets, and timely updates

Job Requirements
Education / Qualification

Degree or above.

Working Experience

More than 3 years working experiences in sales, preferably with fast moving consumer goods, trading or packaging industry

Experience in handling Foodservice customers or B2B business environment will be added advantage

Others

Possess own transport

Must be action and results oriented with a sense of urgency to work in a fast-paced business environment

Possess strong interpersonal skills and work effectively in a team environment.

Armed with positive and enthusiastic attitude that’s aids the building of a proactive environment and culture

Good interpersonal skill with a high level of initiative and drive

Good command in oral and written English communication skill

Able to work under pressure with minimum supervision

Willing and able to travel outstation as & when required

Able to speak English, Bahasa & Mandarin is an added advantage.
