Job description

Company Background:
A leading company in Selangor, Malaysia, operates from Klang, near Kuala Lumpur and Port Klang. Established in the 1980s, it started in used parts trading, expanded into reconditioned trucks, and later into import-export of used engines and spare parts across 30+ countries. By 2009, it added new commercial vehicle sales. With over 25 affiliated entities in trading, manufacturing, marketing, and finance, it leads Malaysia's used truck and spare parts market while leveraging strong global ties for continued growth.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. To fully handle sales on our company product.
  2. To set up and maintain the centre for our product in the area where management decides.
  3. To support HQ for sales, operations, and other matters.
  4. To align with the company direction to achieve yearly targets.
  5. To travel outstation and assist with any support needed for our customers.
  6. To report to HQ on market trends.
  7. To liaise between customers and the China principal.
  8. To undertake any other assignments from time to time.
  9. To expand business activities, product marketability, and customer base for the assigned regions/product portfolios.
  10. Conduct market analysis to identify trends and competitor activities.
  11. Provide feedback on customer preferences and market demands to the management team.
  12. Develop sales and tendering strategies for the assigned regions and product range or any other specific business assignments from Management.
  13. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  14. Conduct client visits and follow up on inquiries to understand customer needs and provide suitable solutions.
  15. Coordinate all sales activities, including regular reporting, updates on projects, timely responses to queries, and effective and accurate responses to market intelligence and development.
  16. Prepare and coordinate presentations, promotional roadshows, pre-qualification, market surveys, approved vendor registration, etc., to secure sales opportunities.
  17. Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence.
  18. Handle the preparation, update, and enhancement of departmental qualification data, marketing material, and statutory documents.
  19. Collaborate with other departments, such as after-sales and spare parts teams, to ensure smooth after-sales service.

Job Requirements:

  1. Must possess at least a Degree in Sales & Marketing or a similar field.
  2. Proven experience in sales, preferably in heavy machinery, construction, or related industries.
  3. Knowledge of heavy machinery and spare parts is an advantage.
  4. Willingness to travel extensively within Malaysia.
  5. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  6. Strong public speaking and presentation skills are required.
