A leading consumer goods company is seeking a Sales Executive to establish and manage key accounts with major supermarket chains in Malaysia. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of sales experience in the FMCG sector, a proven track record in account management, and excellent negotiation skills. This role involves developing strategic sales plans, monitoring market trends, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Willingness to travel frequently is required.
Proactively identify, target, and secure new key accounts with major supermarket chains and hypermarkets across Malaysia.
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand Elianware's market share within the modern trade sector.
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients.
Develop and deliver compelling, tailored sales proposals and product presentations that align with each retailer's category and merchandising strategies.
Negotiate trading terms, pricing, promotional activities, and optimal shelf space to ensure maximum brand visibility and profitability.
Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including buyers, category managers, and procurement heads.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer preferences to identify new opportunities and adjust strategies proactively.
Analyze sales data to prepare regular performance reports, forecasts, and actionable insights for management.
Collaborate with the marketing team to align national campaigns with in-store execution and promotional calendars.
Provide excellent post-launch support to ensure customer satisfaction and foster long-term partnership growth.
Act as the main point of contact for all matters related to your assigned accounts.
Coordinate with internal logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely product delivery and availability.
A minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience in the FMCG/consumer goods industry, with a demonstrable track record of opening and managing accounts within major supermarket chains in Malaysia.
An established network and strong existing relationships with supermarket buyers and category managers is a significant advantage.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior-level decision-makers.
Strong business acumen and a proven, results-oriented mindset with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
A proactive, self-motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Proficiency in preparing sales reports and business proposals.
Possess a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently across Malaysia.
