Sales Manager / Senior Sales Manager (Trailer Manufacturing)

About the role

This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for driving sales growth and leading our sales efforts for our trailer manufacturing business. You will play a key strategic role in achieving our ambitious commercial objectives.

What you'll be doing

1. Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to grow our trailer manufacturing business
2. Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, both locally and regionally
3. Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers
4. Providing expert product knowledge and technical sales support to customers
5. Collaborating cross-functionally with our production, marketing and operations teams
6. Overseeing the sales team and providing mentorship and guidance to ensure sales targets are met
7. Analyzing market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to inform our sales approach
8. Preparing and presenting sales reports and forecasts to senior management

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5-8 years proven sales experience in the trailer manufacturing or commercial vehicle industry
2. Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
3. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and customer relationship management skills
4. Strong understanding of trailer types, specifications, and market demands
5. Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans
6. Strong leadership and people management skills to build and motivate a high-performing sales team
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills
8. Degree or Diploma qualification in a relevant field such as engineering, business, marketing or related fields
9. Fluent in English & Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an advantage)
10. Ability to travel nationwide for client meetings and business development
