Job description

Our client is an established FMCG (Food products) company, with backing from one of the largest MNCs in the world. As part of their business expansion, they are hiring for an experienced Sales Manager (FMCG - Lower Trade), to be based at Mont Kiara, KL.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with area managers to ensure Sales Targets are met on monthly basis.
  2. Lead and motivate the Team to achieve their KPIs strategically.
  3. Identify and execute sales opportunities to maximize sales efficiency.
  4. Work with the Marketing Department on promotional activities planning & ensure execution is carried out timely.
  5. Ensure Trade Offers structures are competitive to boost sales.
  6. Ensure promotional prices are implemented accurately at all fields.
  7. Ensure regular competitor pricing surveys are undertaken in each area.
  8. Align sales activities with marketing initiatives.
  9. Ensure stock commitment for each area is in line with forward sale forecasts.
  10. Ensure sufficient inventory level at all times to avoid Out of stocks situation.
  11. Identify areas with high inventories and undertake immediate actions effectively.
  12. Manage inventory ordering & forward inventory forecast with Area Managers on a monthly basis.
  13. Provide effective leadership and motivation for all Sales Staff.
  14. Set and maintain high service standards at all times.

Job Requirements:

  1. At least 5 years working experience in Sales or Key Account Management (Preferably in the FMCG industry).
  2. Strong analytical skills and comfortable dealing with numerical data.
  3. Experience in field sales and working closely with distributors is highly desired.
  4. Self-motivated & proactive; able to work independently.
  5. Competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  6. Possess own transport and willing to travel outstation from time to time.
