Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of an esteemed MNC chemical company that focuses on distribution of specialty chemicals serving industries such as coating, life science, advanced material and more. Our respected client is seeking a highly motivated and professional individual for the role Sales Manager.


Job summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new products, markets, and customers, developing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and building customer relationships to increase market share and achieve profitability in the Coatings and Construction industry.


Key job responsibilities include:

  1. Business Development: Identifying and introducing new products, new markets, and new customers related to Coatings and Construction applications. Increase market share of a maximum range of products.
  2. Sales Strategy: Developing product and principal-wise business plans for achieving targeted sales & profitability. Developing sales strategies/plans based on the company's targets.
  3. Customer Relationship Management: Understanding customer requirements for value-added services like stocking, registration, customized grades, and just-in-time delivery. Relationship building & retention plans for existing customers. Build and maintain key account relationships with customers in the assigned region. Should be highly inclined to customer satisfaction & complaint redressal. Key account management to derive sustainable value propositions for principals and customers.
  4. Product Knowledge: Understanding critical product specifications for different applications & delivering service and sales accordingly for the Coatings and Construction industry. Conduct periodic reviews of product and principal reports.
  5. Market Analysis: Market representation & agreements to augment sales. Promoting fillers, solvents, resins, pigments, and various products for Coatings and Construction applications & their value-added services to customers & devising a reach-out plan.

Key Job requirements include:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Material Engineering/Chemistry/Chemical Engineering.
  2. A qualification in Management (Sales & Marketing) would be an added advantage.
  3. 5+ years of experience in sales and key account management in a high-tech, multinational matrix organization.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  5. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  6. Ability to conduct sales conversations and negotiations to convert business deals and generate revenue.
  7. Professional command of business English and the respective local language of the assigned market in both spoken and written forms.
