The Sales Manager role will require extensive travel to East Coast region within Malaysia.

About the role

As the Sales Manager you will be responsible in achieving sales targets (incl. expense control) supporting the East Coast and Central areas. You will be responsible in:


1. Achieving business results (Sales, Market Share)

  • Develop, implement and maintain account management plans to drive growth strategies for key accounts as per country/franchise business plan

  • Supporting staff to develop, implement and maintain account management plans in driving growth strategies set out

  • Work closely and in-conjunction with Country Manager and Marketing Manager to develop annual business plans

  • Monitor budgets and regularly reporting of actual performance to budget, with revised forecasting and/or projections

  • Monitoring and reporting on the performance of distribution channels

  • Review and analyses sales, to monitor sales achievements and identify opportunities across specific accounts and territories

  • Monitoring sales and expense performance and initiating corrective action where necessary

2. Model accountability and commitment to our customers and our colleagues through teamwork

  • Desire for continual learning in our products range, our competitors’ products and keeping abreast of current standards of care in the marketplace

  • Develops trust through ethical and consistent behaviour

3. Execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve business results

  • Negotiate sales agreements within organizational policy guidelines

  • Create customer awareness, recommending product types and arranging and participating with product demonstrations

  • Provide technical advice / product education to both customers and fellow colleagues

  • Provide business to business representation at key local events

4. Cultivates strong business relationships

  • Establishes close relationships with external customers and utilizes those relationships to strengthen a competitive position and performance

  • Develop and maintains ongoing relationships with customers and key opinion leader

5. Sales Leadership and Management

  • Demonstrate exemplary sales leadership

  • Drive performance through coaching, mentoring and developing staff, including overseeing the employees’ lifecycle and providing career development planning and opportunities

  • Development of a high-performing culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications, preferably in Nursing

  • Minimum 8 years of significant sales experience in Advanced Wound Care/Stoma Care/Healthcare industry and well-verse with both government and private hospital structure

  • Minimum 2 years or more of team management or supervisory experience will be advantageous, experience with developing/coaching staffs will be evaluated

  • Excellent sales management, motivational and persuasive skills

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills

  • Excellent communication skills – oral, written and presentation; proficiency in

  • spoken and written English

  • Able to identify and articulate sales opportunities and risks

  • Able to develop and implement account plans and strategies to achieve sales

  • objectives

  • Comprehensive business knowledge includes key account management, budgetary formulation, and control experience

  • Strong team player

  • Proficient (intermediate) in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
